1. Get a Good Night's Sleep

One of the easiest ways to boost your mood and feel your best is to get enough sleep. Okay, this is easier said than done. Whether it’s 6, 8 or 10, make a goal to sleep your ideal number of hours a night and stick to it. Set a calming routine for bed time like reading or meditating and limit exposure to bright lights (no more checking Insta before bed!) A cool room is also conducive for good sleep, so crank the AC or use a fan to achieve the ideal temperature.

2. Make a Healthy Meal

Another effective way to feel great is to eat healthy. Even more empowering is taking the time to cook something healthy for yourself. One of the best parts about cooking for yourself is tailoring the recipe to your own likes. Don’t like mushrooms? Don’t add them. If you need ideas, check out Tasty where you can watch how-to videos and get hundreds of recipes. Check Pinterest for Meal prep tips to create healthy packed lunches ahead of time and check one more thing off your to-do list.

3. Plan a Spa Day

When it comes spa treatments, a face mask and some cucumbers over the eyes comes to mind... but your spa day doesn’t have to be basic. Treat yourself to a day off and book a spa treatment. Get a massage, a pedicure, or try something unique like halotherapy (salt caves!) or acupuncture. If an at home spa day is more your style, make your hot bath feel more luxe by adding a bath bomb or some bubble bath. Add candles and your favorite drink and you’ll be relaxation ready.

4. Create a Vision Board

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the present, take some time to plan for the future by creating a vision board. A vision board is a useful tool to help you stay focused on your goals or create motivation. It can include inspiring images, motivational quotes, or goals for the future. There really is no wrong way to create your vision board, but you can check out your favorite social media for inspiration.

5. Take Control of Your Social Feeds

Frequently checking social media can take a toll on your mental health, but one way to control that is by adjusting the content you’re seeing. Your social media feed should make you feel inspired and bring you information you’re interested in. Take a look at the people you follow and make sure they still meet your preferences. Do you really want to follow that celebrity who keeps posting about detox tea? Maybe you’re finally ready to unfollow that ex you’ve been checking up on for years. Most platforms also have a mute button for hiding someone’s posts without hurting their feelings by unfollowing.

6. Learn a New Skill

Set aside some time to learn a new skill that interests you. Have you always wanted to learn another language, how to play guitar or paint? There are tons of available apps and websites to learn or enhance skills, such as Duolingo or Lynda.com. If you don’t already have an idea, browse Pinterest for a fun DIY project to focus on for a few hours. You may find a whole new hobby to tap into, or it could be a total disaster. The most important thing is that you have fun doing it.

7. Work Out in a New Location

Tired of staring at the same spot on the wall while you count the minutes left on the treadmill? Switch up your workout routine and go outside! Grab a friend and go take a walk or run on a nearby trail or around your city. Not into running? Yoga mats are portable, which means you can take them anywhere – like the beach, a rooftop, or your backyard. Use an app like Pocket Yoga to help ensure you have the poses correct.

8. Plan your Dream Vacation

Make a bucket list of all the destinations you want to visit or find travel inspiration from social media. Will you create an itinerary filled with excursions and entertainment, or will it be a relaxing trip spent sunbathing on the beach?
